Luke Bryan has just released his new music video for “Move,” the current single from his latest studio album, Kill the Lights. “Move” has already hit number 15 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and will undoubtedly climb higher. The video, which Bryan released Sept. 19, pairs well with the unabashedly light and fun song.
The music video switches back and forth between two rooms in a building. Inside one room, Bryan and his band are casually warming up on a stage. In the other, a girl is dancing around by herself (think Step Up with a country flair). Check out what happens next below.
The song and video are indeed fun, which was exactly Bryan’s intention. “’Move’ is all the fun you could want to have in a song, in my opinion,” Bryan said in a behind-the-scenes video. “It’s what I envision — big ol’ country dance clubs across the country playing that and it filling up and everybody having a great time.”
The song was co-written by Bryan, Michael Carter and Jay Clementi. Bryan admitted that they struggled to keep the lyrics from going from light-hearted to tacky. “One wrong lyric and it gets cheesy,” the singer explained in the video.
Bryan is currently on his Kill the Lights Tour along with Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch.
