Luke Bryan Shares Close-Up Video of Fishing Accident

While family man and prankster Luke Bryan's usually hilarious on social media, his latest Instagram post to grab headlines is no laughing matter.

The American Idol judge's video of a three-prong fishing lure hook that went through his hand in two places has been flagged as sensitive content.

"Well, this is gonna leave a mark, pretty sure that's in my bone," the singer says while sharing a close-up of his injury.

Such gruesome footage didn't stop the country star's wife Caroline Bryan from dropping some good-natured teasing in the comments.

"I leave your ass for 2 hours and this happens....damn baby," Caroline wrote.

Fellow country music star Jake Owen jokingly referenced the song "Huntin, Fishin, Lovin Every Day."

Luke was on a fishing trip with his guitar tech, Russ, when the accident took place. From there, Luke chronicled medical treatment for his fishing accident with an Instagram story.

"We're violating HIPAA somehow," Luke joked as he filmed himself while a medical professional removed the fishing hook off-camera.

Luke and Russ made it back to their boat before sundown, as the "One Margarita" singer confirmed with a thumbs up.

When he's not on the lake with Russ, Luke appears on American Idol with fellow judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. So far this season, country fans have been introduced to future Grand Ole Opry performer Alex Miller, veteran 16-year-old EmiSunshine and a Kentucky native still vying to become your next American Idol, Alyssa Wray.

In addition, Luke's fresh off the release of a new song, "Country Does."
