Luke Bryan turned on his epic charm at the 2021 CMT Music Awards performing his latest chart-topping single Down To One. The country superstar performed live from the rooftop of Nashville's Assembly Hall. The song, written by Justin Ebach, Kyle Fishman, and Dallas Davidson, is Bryan's 26th consecutive number-one single, following What She Wants Tonight, Knocking Boots, and One Margarita.
This is also the fourth single from the country singer's seventh studio album, Born Here Live Here Die Here. It features swooning lyrics such as, "We were down to 1 AM/ Listenin' to one more song/ Thinkin' I want more than just one night out here with you alone."
Luke Bryan: 'Down to One'
Speaking about the song to The Country Now, Bryan stated, "First time I heard it--it's written by one of my dear friends Dallas Davidson who I've had a lot of success with as a co-writer with through the years--it just sounds like a big ole hit, 'Down To One' is a real like typical song of mine that you kind of expect from me from the years...guy and a girl out there, in the middle of nowhere enjoying a moment together, a romantic moment, and I always feel like you gotta have those on an album."
