Love Island UK personality Maura Higgins admitted she may have picked the wrong sport after she chipped her pro dance partner's tooth while prepping for Dancing with the Stars.

The 35-year-old admitted the dancing snafu during the skybox interview portion of DWTS, per PEOPLE.
"I really struggled this week," Higgins confessed following her cha-cha performance on Sept. 22's episode alongside partner Mark Ballas. "I even chipped his tooth... maybe I'll go into boxing after this," she quipped as her pro dance partner looked on.
"It's fine, I got a few more," Ballas shot back.
Meanwhile, Ballas gave a bit more insight into his chipped tooth in a follow-up interview with PEOPLE. He explained it wasn't the Love Island alum's dainty fist that sent him to the dentist, but another appendage.
"Just a little elbow, you know?" he told the outlet, doing his best to sound tough despite being a pro ballroom dancer.
"We were doing some turns," Higgens chimed in. "The elbow went up. He said he's had worse."
That said, the pain may have been more or less worth it.
The dancing duo scored a 19 out of 30 for their Week 2 routine. Two judges gave the competitive couple a 6, with a third awarding them a 7. Hey, all above average, with some room for improvement!

However, there might be some sort of sneaky strategy afoot. PEOPLE points out that the two starred together on Traitors Season 4. Could it be that the two picked up some sneaky skills during their time on the show?
Maybe the modest scores and public-facing injuries are all by design... Maybe they're doing their best to win over the viewing public at home, attempting to appear as plucky under dogs.
Then, when the time is right, and some stiff competition is eliminated, BAM! They turn up the heat, their feet on fire as they grin ear to ear, revealing impossibly perfect teeth.
