An Arizona woman was caught speeding home for what she believed was a very important reason.

The woman has not been publicly identified, but reports state that she was driving at more than 100 mph on June 9, when the latest episode of the hit reality dating series aired.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol trooper clocked the woman traveling at 108 mph on State Route 347. This was approximately 45 mph over the posted speed limit.
In a social media post, Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol said that the woman admitted that "she was trying to get home fast to be able to watch the reality TV show 'Love Island.'"
The driver was subsequently arrested on charges of criminal speed and reckless driving.
Ironically, the arrest meant she missed the latest episode of Love Island altogether.
To make matters worse, authorities also impounded her vehicle. Placing it in what they described as "car jail" for 20 days.

The Love Island fan was not the only driver arrested for excessive speeding during a busy stretch for Arizona Highway Patrol.
On June 8, a motorcyclist was arrested after being caught traveling at 106 mph in a 65 mph zone on State Route 202.
A trooper stopped the rider and subsequently booked them on a charge of criminal speed.
Just one day after the Love Island incident, another driver was clocked traveling at 93 mph. This was in a 50 mph zone on the Maricopa Casa Grande Highway on June 10.
According to authorities, the driver said he was returning home from church and was unaware of Arizona's criminal speed laws.
He was arrested and booked into jail on charges of criminal speed and reckless driving.
