Los Angeles Lakers Player Goes Viral for Hilarious “Sexual Tyrannosaurus“ Fashion Choice

Drew Timme went viral for wearing a "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" t-shirt to a postgame news conference on Sunday, Jan. 18.

When you live in Los Angeles and play for the Los Angeles Lakers, there's a certain level of expectation regarding your fashion choices. Dress as out-there as you want, just make sure it's designer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Drew Timme got the message. The second-year big man, in his first season with the Lakers, had reporters in hysterics on Sunday evening, after turning up to a news conference wearing a "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" t-shirt.

"I'm not big into fashion,"

There's something commendable about being your authentic self in a city where everyone is playing a part. Timme is still finding his way in the NBA, and is currently on a two-way contract with the Lakers. Despite not being on a full-scale deal, he's suited up for JJ Redick's team on eight occasions.

Still, when you're clawing for every minute of NBA playing time you can get, having a self-aware and humble nature is ideal. Nevertheless, maybe LeBron James or Luka Doncic should speak with Timme about upping his fashion game. Either that, or the Lakers start selling "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" shirts in the team store.

The Los Angeles Lakers Are Moving up the Standings

If you listened to a Lakers fan, you would think the world is ending and that Los Angeles would be without playoff basketball this season. Yet, if you take one look at the Western Conference standings, you can see the Lakers are currently sitting in sixth and are only three games out of claiming the third seed.

Doncic shared a similar sentiment when recently talking to the media.

"Well, we're 20-11, which isn't too bad," Doncic said. "We're two or three games out of second place. Even though it might seem terrible, it's not that bad. But we definitely have to improve."

Playing for the Lakers means that a championship is always the goal. Success is measured in banners, not playoff qualification. However, maybe, just for now, more of us should take Timme's lead and stop taking things so seriously.

The Lakers are well-positioned to earn a spot in the postseason. They're probably going to do well, too. So, stressing over a future that is still months away seems counterproductive. Timme isn't doing that. He's probably at home watching Predator, and that's a mindset we should all aspire to have.
