Loretta Lynn Shares Holiday Memories in Festive Video for 'Country Christmas'

Ever wonder what Christmas at Loretta Lynn's house looked like? Well, you're in luck. The Queen of Country Music gives a peek inside with her "Country Christmas" video.

Lynn shares small glimpses of Christmases gone by through old home videos, while Loretta and John Carter Cash sing beside a Christmas tree. As the two sing along throughout the video, you can't help but get warm fuzzies from Lynn's old videos.

Watching Lynn and her family love and cherish each other is definitely the ultimate feel good feeling during the busy Christmas season. Loretta sounds better than ever, singing about Aunt Annie Bell and Uncle Bill coming over to celebrate, and singing "Silent Night." All the while, John Carter holds it down the guitar just like his daddy used to do, full of country spirit.

Lynn sings on about popping popcorn to line the Christmas tree and putting on little ballets so all can dance and sing. If there's one thing to take away from the song, its that Lynn certainly still has songwriting chops.

"Country Christmas" is from Loretta Lynn's 2016 Christmas album, White Christmas Blue. Lynn's daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, alongside John Carter Cash (the only child of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash), produced the album that features twelve Christmas standards and Lynn originals.

Lynn really shows off her chops as a songwriter with songs like "To Heck with Ole Santa Claus" and "It Won't Seem Like Christmas." You'll also get to hear the Hank Cochran penned "Gift of the Blues." But "Country Christmas" really makes you feel like you're transported to sitting around the fire with the Queen of Country herself.

"Country Christmas" Lyrics

Mommie pop the popcorn and we string it on the tree

Apples nuts and candy oh what a Christmas feel

Daddy play the organ and we'll all sing Silent Night

We'll have a good old country Christmas alright

A good old country Christmas that's what it's gonna be

With all the family gathered round our pretty Christmas tree

We'll open up our presents Christmas Eve about midnight

We'll have a good old country Christmas alright

Aunt Annie Belle will be here uncle Bill and darn our kids

We'll make ballets on the floor just like we always did

Gradnama bake the pies and cakes oh what a pretty sight

We'll have a good old country Christmas alright

A good old country Christmas...

A good old country Christmas...
