At only 12-years-old, Ansley Burns of Easley, S.C. can belt with the best of them. Ansley's mom, Stephanie Burns, posted a video of her daughter singing along to her favorite song, "Cry Pretty" by Carrie Underwood, in the backseat of the family car, and the clip went viral due to Ansley's undeniable talent.
Ansley manages to hit every note of the difficult song while emoting each word of the track. Her heartfelt rendition of the song spread quickly, and as of Tuesday morning, the Facebook video racked up over 11K shares and 617K views. One of those views was Underwood's who also shared the clip to her official Facebook page with the note, "Ansley, this is amazing! Everybody keep your eyes out for this girl!"
Even if you can't sing as beautifully as Ansley, her love of Underwood's song can remind all of us to let loose and sing to our heart's content. There's nothing quite like throwing yourself a car concert and letting your feelings fly freely, and the "Cry Pretty" provides the perfect opportunity for overt emotion.
Carrie Underwood released "Cry Pretty" in mid-April, well ahead of the upcoming mid-September release of her album of the same name. Recently, Underwood unveiled the second single from Cry Pretty, a response to gun violence and the political climate in America called "Love Wins."
Since Underwood is expecting a new addition to her family soon, she will take a break before the start of the Cry Pretty 360 Tour beginning on May 1, 2019. Runaway June and Maddie & Tae are set to open on the tour which will run through the end of October. Though 2019 might seem far away now, it's coming up quicker than you think, so head over to Underwood's website to grab tickets to catch the country superstar on tour.
