Following the tragic news of Troy Gentry's passing last week, country stars from all over have been honoring his memory by performing covers of his biggest songs. In a Sept. 15 performance at the Ryman, Little Big Town delivered the latest moving musical tribute to the late singer.
The group's rendition of "My Town" is short, but it sure is sweet. The performance clearly moved the crowd too. The audience joined in on harmonies for this beautiful tribute to Gentry.
"My Town" was a No. 5 tune on the U.S. country chart when it debuted in June 2002. It also hit No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of Montgomery Gentry's highest charting crossover singles. It was the leading single off of their album of the same name and featured instrumentation from members of The Allman Brothers Band.
During that same show at the Ryman, Little Big Town was joined by Kacey Musgraves and Midland. In a video taken by a fan present at the concert, you can see Little Big Town backing Kacey up on her breakout hit "Merry Go 'Round."
This won't be the only time that these three groups join forces. Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Midland will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 20.

Little Big Town also shared a Facebook post reflecting on their latest string of Ryman performances.
"Another weekend at the Ryman we will never forget," says the band. "Thanks to Charles Kelley, Kacey Musgraves, Lucie Silvas, and Midland for coming out and giving so much to us and the fans. Love you all."
