Kelsea Ballerini gave fans a special surprise during the NASH Country Kick-Off event on Tuesday, June 7 as Hunter Hayes joined her on stage for a rendition of his ballad, "Wanted."
Ballerini headlined this year's NASH Country Kick-Off, which was held at the Cannery Ballroom in downtown Nashville, as a way to rev up for the coming week of CMA Fest Performances.
During her set Hayes accompanied the "Peter Pan" singer on guitar while she sang away to his 2012 hit and joined in as she came to chorus.
With the lights dim and Ballerini's top sparkling in the stage lights the two volleyed back and forth with solos. See the powerhouse performance in the fan video clip below.
Back in 2011 I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know @hunterhayes and have him give me life advice on Nashville and music. Years passed and he got more famous and we lost touch. Last year I was lost and broken and no idea what kind of artist I wanted to be and then I heard the first time by @kelseaballerini and it hit me like a ton of bricks. After thinking I'd never move back to Nashville and that my dreams would never come true here I am watching two of my fav artists sing one of my favorite songs on this planet TOGETHER. Can't describe this magical moment. I love Nashville. #nashville #kelseaballerini #hunterhayes
This wouldn't be the first time the two country crooners have shared a stage. In 2015 they joined Lady Antebellum as a part of their Wheels Up Tour.
Other performers at the NASH Country Kick-Off included Levi Hummon, Jon Pardi and Barrett Barber. The event was presented by Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
