Granger Smith's "If the Boot Fits," the fourth track on his forthcoming album Remington, will be his next single. In the playfully catchy love song, the Texas-based rising star describes himself as a country boy that is looking for his "small-town Cinderella."
"Yeah girl, you can be my all night, dancing in the headlights, fairy tale, good as it gets... if the boot fits," sings Smith in the chorus. The tune has the approval of superstar duo Florida Georgia Line, who posted the following photo on Instagram with the caption: "Checking out all the new music this morning and found this new one by @GrangerSmith - ON REPEAT. #YeeYee"
Smith's new single is a welcomed follow-up to "Backroad Song," which has about 185,000 downloads and recently hit No. 1 after 32 weeks on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That milestone moment occurred shortly after the release of the music video for the song, which features Smith cruising through back roads in his truck.
"It's a surreal feeling after working so passionately for so long," Smith told Billboard. "It's something I'll forever be proud of, as both a writer and a singer. I'll never forget my first No. 1."
After years of relentless touring and developing a loyal nationwide following (we're talking over 145,000 Twitter and 608,000 Facebook fans), it's no surprise that Granger Smith eventually began to attract attention from industry heads in Nashville. Smith signed with Broken Bow Records in August of 2015 and joined their roster of artists which currently includes Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Dustin Lynch and more.
Remington, Smith's eighth studio album, releases on March 4th. Listen to "If the Boot Fits" below.
