Lionel Richie has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit after struggling to finish his concert in St. Louis on Saturday.

The 77-year-old singer checked himself into the hospital to get testing done, TMZ reported. Doctors are currently attributing his illness to dehydration, the outlet reported.
During his performance in St. Louis, the "American Idol" judge appeared woozy and asked for a chair to sit down on during his final song.
Richie also fell ill during the opening concert of his 26-show tour in June, ending the Minnesota show early.
Richie was forced to sit down several times during the song, videos shared on social media showed.
"When you're feeling dizzy, sit your ass down," Richie told the crowd, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.
He then sat at the piano to perform "Three Times a Lady" before calling for an intermission. His band remained onstage for about 15 minutes before leaving.
Roughly 40 minutes later, saxophonist Dino Soldo addressed the audience.
"Unfortunately, Lionel is not feeling well," Soldo said. "He won't be able to continue. Additional information will be available."
Richie ended up postponing two shows in the immediate aftermath, as his doctors advised he "rest and return to full health."
The iconic singer returned to the stage on June 30, and joked with the crowd that he "had you worried there for a minute, huh?" per TribLive.
Before his staggered performance in Minnesota, Richie expressed excitement to begin his tour.
"Thank you to everyone in my band and crew for all the hard work, dedication, and long hours getting us ready for this tour," he wrote on Instagram Stories.
"It takes an incredible team behind the scenes to make it all happen. I'm grateful for each and every one of you."
The "Truly" singer debuted in 1982 and has been on the road ever since.
Richie, a four-time Grammy winner, boasts several RIAA-certified platinum and diamond records during his legendary career.
Richie joined "American Idol" as a judge in 2018.
He is currently in the midst of his Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
