Lindsay Ell to Release John Mayer Cover Album, 'The Continuum Project'

On May 25, Lindsay Ell will digitally release her reimagining of John Mayer's 2006 album Continuum as The Continuum Project. Her cover of Mayer's entire record was given as an assignment by her producer, Sugarland's Kristian Bush, who told her she was to complete the project by herself in her studio within two weeks, and she had to play each and every instrument.

Work on the cover album occurred during sessions for her full length album The Project. Fans have already heard Ell's take on one Continuum track, "Stop This Train," which was released on her 2017 Worth the Wait EP.

Ell posted an update on Instagram, giving fans more insight into the backstory of The Continuum Project.

"I want you to hear the process on how I got to the sound of The Project and the Continuum Project meant a lot to me and I wanted to share it with you all," Ell said.
