Hear Lillie Mae's Haunting New Song 'You've Got Other Girls For That'

Third Man Records signee, longtime family band member and top-flight fiddler Lillie Mae tells women's stories on her new Dave Cobb-produced album Other Girls, beginning with her own.

Lead single "You've Got Other Girls For That" and its music video tell a haunting and true story about its performer's past experience with a womanizer. It exorcises past pain while building off a lifetime spent as a musician and songwriter. Also, good songs grounded in country music speak to a wide range of peoples' experiences through specific details about their narrators' lives. Mae works that magic like a boss here, raising expectations for the album's Aug. 16 arrival.

Despite her evolving sound, family remains key for Mae, born Lillie Mae Rische. She still plays shifts at Nashville's Robert's Western World and Layla's Bluegrass Inn with her sisters, and siblings Frank and Scarlett play guitar and mandolin on the album.

In the meantime, check out her live show this summer and fall when she opens for two different, high-profile tours: first with label boss Jack White's Raconteurs and later with Robert Plant's Sensational Space Shifters. Check out the artist's website for tour dates.
