Sure, some artists might cover another artist's song, but the South Carolina native has remade one. Puddle Of Mudd's hit song "She Hates Me" has been turned on its head and spun around. I find it brilliant and frankly hilarious that out of all songs to turn into a country anthem, he chose that one.

But, he pulled it off, and it sounds great, so who am I to judge?

A whopping five writers collaborated to pen the song: Ben Simonetti, Cody Lohden, Rob Pennington, Jimmy Allen, and Wes Scantlin. Lewis Brice performing the song is what makes it, however.

A statement shared with WOC describes the song as "a lively anthem celebrating a woman who fully embraces the country lifestyle. With Brice's soulful vocals and an undeniably catchy melody, the song paints a vivid picture of small-town charm, southern spirit, and a love for country music."

It hits the nail on the head.

You can listen to "She Loves My Country" below. The song is also out on streaming platforms now.

Lewis Brice Celebrates His Own Country-Loving Family With Latest Single

Lewis Brice isn't just yelling country buzzwords like "Broadway bar," "farm," and "boots." He personally relates to the song and its spirit.

In a quote he shared with us, Lewis Brice said, "This song, 'She Loves My Country,' for me, is a perfect representation of who I am musically, with country in my heart and rock and roll in my soul, I can relate to this song on a few different levels and really immerse myself in it because it's a rock 'n' roll tribute/interpolation (of the Puddle of Mudd song 'She Hates Me') with country thrown in."

"And also, I did meet my now-wife down on Broadway, and yes, she and my daughter do, in fact, love my country!"

There you have it. Gotta love authenticity in a country artist, and Lewis Brice is drowning in it.
