Get your snack fingers ready because new Lay's Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup chips are coming to a store near you soon.

What are Lay's Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Chips?

According to Frito-Lay, the new chips will feature a "dynamic combination of tomato taste and buttery cheese with underlying creamy and toasted notes, reminiscent of one of America's favorite homemade meals." I mean, you can't go wrong with the pairing of a crispy grilled cheese sandwich and a steaming hot bowl of tomato soup. It's essential comfort food in a bowl, especially if you make your sandwich with classic American cheese.

According to Food Timeline, the tomato soup and sandwich combo came to light when "Post WWII institutional foodservice (including school cafeterias) paired grilled cheese with tomato soup to provide the required Vitamin C component." Canned soup made it easy to prepare lunch for a crowd, thus the famous combo was born.

The new limited-time potato chip flavor will be available nationwide starting Oct. 21. Each 7.75-ounce bag will retail at $3.49, but you better grab them fast because who knows when they'll sell out.

Along with the release of Lay's Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Chips, October 21st also marks the beginning of the "Gotta Have Lay's" campaign. Ever want to win free Lays chips for a year?
