Being a parent is far from easy, but being a parent in the public eye must be downright exhausting. No matter what you do, there will be someone claiming you're doing it wrong or that they're doing it better. Perhaps that's why Ice-T and Coco Austin have taken a very clear approach to dealing with anyone who questions their parenting style.

"F--k 'em," Ice-T recently told E! News during a recent interview.
Ice-T's clapback refers to the couple receiving backlash last year after Austin admitted to breastfeeding their daughter until she was six years old.
"It wasn't like I was feeding her because she needed a meal," Austin explained during a November 9, 2025 episode of The Dumb Blonde podcast. "She was able to eat by a year, full solids. It was more of a bonding experience. More of like, 'Okay, I'll give you the milk,' but it was more that she wanted to be around me."
During that podcast episode, Austin noted how she was allowing her daughter, Chanel, to figure things out on her own, noting that "I'm going to let her stop when she wants to stop."
"She's not going to be 16 on my boob," Austin explained to Bunni Xo. "She's eventually going to figure out that this is kind of strange or weird and stop. And that happened around 6—which was still an extremely long time."
Ice-T and Coco Austin's Daughter Is About To Turn 11
The shocking part of all the backlash Austin and Ice-T received was that Chanel hasn't been breastfeeding for years. Sure, six years is a very long time for that phase to last, but clearly Austin and Ice-T were taking a holistic approach to the situation.
Now, the celebrity couple is getting ready to celebrate Chanel's 11th birthday.
"She's about the turn 11," Austin told E! News. "So, she wants a party that's her angel numbers 11:11, because she's turning 11 and she's born on the month 11."
At the end of the day, parenting is a journey. Everyone does the best they can within their individual circumstances. Doing so on the public stage only serves to intensify the experience. Therefore, no one can fault Ice-T and Austin for their "F--k 'em" approach, because in truth, that would be most of us.
