Charlie Daniels Jr. used artificial intelligence tools to create a video resembling his father performing at an American bash.

The four-minute video, shared on the Charlie Daniels Band's YouTube page, features some bizarre scenes.

Roughly thirty seconds in, a trio of pies is shown resting on a swing porch. Later in the video, children are shown running down a dimly lit street while carrying sparklers.

Charlie Daniels Jr. Uses AI Tools to Create Music Video

Daniels Jr. admitted that he is still learning how AI tools work and that he didn't initially intend to make a music video.

"I originally just wanted a lyric video for the song," Daniels said in a press release.

"I was learning completely on the fly.

Before long, Daniels discovered how to add animations. It's unclear if Daniels used Grok or another AI engine to create the video, but most AI content creation apps allow users to generate videos using written prompts.

"What started as a basic slideshow with lyrics suddenly became a full-fledged music video," he added. "When I saw what I could do, my mind was blown."

The YouTube video has drawn mixed reviews from fans. Many fans honored the late Charlie Daniels, but weren't exactly thrilled about the inclusion of AI to expand his legacy.

Love this song! Don't love the AI so much," one user wrote.

Another commented, "AI video adds nothing to the song. Looks amateurish and out of sync." Some users questioned whether the video included Daniels' vocals or if it was an AI remaster.

Daniels, a Grammy-winning singer and fiddle player, passed away in 2020 at age 83.

The "Devil Went Down to Georgia" singer was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
