Lainey Wilson Shares Video of First Meeting With Reba McEntire: 'Pinch Me Moment'

Meeting Reba McEntire was a "dream come true" for Lainey Wilson.

"Pinch me" moments keep piling up for Lainey Wilson. As if an online encounter with Deana Carter wasn't enough, the "Heart Like a Truck" singer and Yellowstone star met one of her country music heroes, Reba McEntire, back in June during CMA Fest.

Wilson posted a brief clip of her backstage McEntire encounter on social media.

"Y'all...what even?," Wilson wrote in an Instagram caption. "This was one of those pinch me moments. I am such a fan of [McEntire] as not only an artist, but just for the incredible person she is... talk about a dream come true."

Wilson gets emotional in the 17-second footage while holding her hero's hand.

"I'm going to cry," Wilson said. "You mean so much to me. You have, you have."

McEntire reacted graciously while pouring on the praise.

"Well congratulations on everything you've been doing," McEntire responded. "I'm just so proud of you."

Wilson recently wrapped up her run as opening support on Luke Combs' World Tour.

McEntire's next adventure to chronicle begins on Sept. 25 when she debuts as a coach on The Voice.

On May 15, McEntire's team confirmed that the pop culture icon will become a first-time coach for Season 24. The brief press release added that McEntire "will draw from her iconic career as she shares her expertise with hopeful up-and-comers."

McEntire replacing Blake Shelton fulfills one of the singing competition show's original plans for its 2011 debut. During a 2020 appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she confirmed the rumor that NBC's The Voice could've had Team Reba in Season 1 instead of Team Blake.

McEntire will be joined on the coaches panel by defending The Voice champ Niall Horan plus two past fan favorites: Gwen Stefani and John Legend.
