Koe Wetzel Pulls Off An Epic Prank On Tour Involving Crickets

Tour pranks are back, and Koe Wetzel is leading the charge while paying tribute to Tracy Lawrence. Allow me to explain.

During Wetzel's Damn Near Normal Tour, Kolby Cooper joined him for some performances. While he was there, however, Wetzel thought to prank the hell out of him.

In July last year, Koe Wetzel visited the TL's Road House podcast, hosted by Tracy Lawrence. There, Lawrence told Wetzel all about an awful tour prank he pulled on Tracy Byrd. It was so simple, but so effective. Lawrence basically dumped over a thousand crickets in Byrd's tour bus.

Apparently, it took days to get rid of them.

Although Wetzel didn't go to that extreme, his own tour prank did involve some crickets.

The singer recorded the prank, including the preparation and reaction, and uploaded it to TikTok. Unfortunately, TikTok literally just went down. I'm going to link anyway, for posterity and for those out of the states (or those in the states who have managed to find a workaround).

Koe Wetzel Litters Kolby Cooper's Tour Bus With Packing Peanuts And Crickets

A lot went into Wetzel's prank. The biggest offender was the packing peanuts. Hilariously, Wetzel and co. dumped bags upon bags of the things across the tour bus. They were all over the floor, smothered the bed, and were even stuffed into the microwave.

Nothing was left untouched by them.

That's when the crickets were introduced. Only a small bag, but that's already bad enough. They hopped over the packing peanuts as though they were in a tundra.

But it didn't stop there, oh no.

Wetzel then tp'd the bus. Toilet paper was hung up like banners, as if to celebrate Cooper's arrival.

Other details, such as notes hung on the walls, were added as they killed the time waiting for Cooper's set to finish.

Then came the reaction. Cooper walked into the bus, and immediately said, "F--k is this?" before swinging himself into the tour bus. Honestly, it looked like it had been ransacked. He was a good sport, and looked around at Wetzel's handiwork with a begrudging grin.

"Well... thanks," he shot to the camera.

It was all in good fun, but was definitely a headache to clean.
