Kix Brooks has spoken about Brooks & Dunn making more music, despite Ronnie Dunn's injury earlier this month.

Brooks visited Billboard, where they spoke about many professional topics. The topic I was most interested in, however, was when he alluded to the legendary duo making more music. Despite Ronnie Dunn being involved in a skiing accident early December, he's "fired up" about making new music.
This is just what we wanted to hear.
The duo won the Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards (again, naturally), although that isn't exclusively the kick the couple needed to get back into the studio.
When asked about this, Brooks said, "It's not that I felt like I ever lost focus on Brooks & Dunn, but it is a good point in my life, especially if we are going to make new music. That's a little deeper commitment in terms of creative focus and really getting your head in the game and seeing if we can come up with something good."
He also said that "Ronnie and I are at the best place we've ever been at in our career. I think he would agree to that. After all this time, we've really found a comfort zone between the two of us."
Brooks Stepping Away From Radio Show... To Focus On Music?
Kix Brooks mentioned that he's stepping away from hosting the radio show American Country Countdown, something he's done since 2006.
Naturally, this will mean the country singer has a lot more time on his hands. Hopefully time he'll spend writing music.
Billboard asked Brooks about the chances of us getting an album of new music within the next two years. To that, Brooks said, "In the next two years? I'd say pretty good... I'm sure Ronnie's got his own idea of how that could work. But I know he's been writing a lot of songs. He's sending me songs all the time. Ronnie's fired up about getting into that. And I'm certainly not going to hold him back, and I will do my best to keep up and do my part."
If Dunn is writing despite suffering an injury, then I'm sure we'll receive a new album in no time.
