Earlier this year, Brooks and Dunn fans rejoiced at the news that their favorite duo would be teaming up once more. Ronnie Dunn's new solo project features a track with Brooks that captures the sound of their glory days in the 1990s.
Although their voices blend as well as ever, the video for "Damn Drunk" is a reminder that this is not a true Brooks and Dunn reunion. In fact, Brooks doesn't even appear in the clip. Instead, we simply see Dunn traveling through picturesque scenery while dreaming of a beautiful cowgirl.
The track will be featured on Dunn's first album on Big Machine Label Group, set for release later this year.
"This is one of those tunes that I immediately gravitated to," Dunn said in a statement. "I listened to hundreds of songs while writing a few myself. Jay and I took it into the studio and it went to another level. Witnessing a song do that is magic. It is one of the most gratifying dynamics of music for me. Thanks to Kix, my longtime compadre in crime for joining in on the fun."
If you are still hoping to see these two legends back on the live stage, don't worry. You can still snag tickets to their ongoing residency in Las Vegas with Reba at Caesars' Palace.
