Following a three-year hiatus, KFC is finally bringing Popcorn Chicken back to the menu.

In a news release, the global fried chicken chain announced that beginning July 13, it will once again serve its famous Popcorn Chicken, but only while supplies last.
KFC's Popcorn Chicken initially debuted in the early 1990s, well before fans could declare their love for the bite-sized chicken on social media.
By the time it was omitted from the menu in 2023, fans of the meal demanded its return online.
"For years, KFC has heard directly from fans clamoring for Popcorn Chicken's return. We read every comment, every DM, and even every online petition signature, and the message was impossible to ignore," said Melissa Cash, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC US.
"As we continue our Kentucky Fried Comeback journey, this menu item return shows our commitment to listening to our most passionate fans by giving them exactly what they're craving. We're nodding to nostalgia as we simultaneously modernize the brand and how it shows up throughout the world."
To help hype up the return of the beloved Popcorn Chicken, KFC teamed up with GIPHY to create GIFs that fans can use to express excitement on social media.
"Popcorn Chicken has one of the most obsessive fanbases KFC has ever seen, and the brand is meeting that obsession head-on by inserting itself into the internet's favorite reaction: the popcorn GIF," KFC said in a statement.
Through a new partnership with GIPHY, KFC is rolling out a collection of exclusive Popcorn Chicken GIFs starring the Colonel himself, giving fans a Kentucky Fried way to react in the exact moments they're already reaching for a popcorn meme. The collection is available now on GIPHY."
KFC Now Serving Three Popcorn Chicken Offerings
KFC is offering its Popcorn Chicken in three different ways, priced between $8.49 and $10.99.
The $10 Popcorn Chicken Bucket includes 16 ounces of Popcorn Chicken served with four dipping sauces.
Customers can also order the Popcorn Chicken Big Box for $10.99, which comes with six ounces of Popcorn Chicken, two Original Recipe Tenders, medium fries, a medium drink, two dipping sauces, and a chocolate chunk cookie.
Additionally, fans can order the Popcorn Chicken Combo, priced at $8.49, which includes six ounces of Popcorn Chicken, medium fries, a medium drink, and one dipping sauce.
The return of the famed Popcorn Chicken is available at KFC locations nationwide.
