KFC Allergen Menu: What To Order When You're Avoiding Certain Foods

It's hard to beat Kentucky Fried Chicken. Those crispy tenders with a side of their mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, and you're instantly in heaven. Maybe you're into their chicken wings, nuggets, baked beans, hot wings, or even just plain grilled chicken. Unfortunately, before those with celiac and other food allergies can grab that chocolate chip cookie, they have to think about cross-contamination and other aspects of their dining experience when at fast food restaurants. If you're on a gluten-free diet, don't bother checking the nutrition guide for that original recipe chicken or popcorn chicken. We've created a whole KFC Allergen menu just for you!

With this menu, you can waltz into your nearby KFC and order these menu items safely. All items are also the original recipe so no modifications are needed. Now, it may not be any of their main items, but it's something. The sides are where it's at anyway. Thankfully, Gluten Free Guide HQ has checked out all the allergen information to report back exactly what you can order. Skip the McDonald's and come back to see KFC's dairy-free menu, coming soon to our site.

1. House Side Salad Without Dressing

Okay, so a side salad is not fun when you're surrounded by extra crispy chicken drumsticks, but it's filling and healthy, and there are only 15 calories in it. Talk about no carbs!

2. Green Beans

I don't know about you, but I love green beans. Whether steamed or breaded, they're such a great side dish. You can even throw some BBQ sauce on them. If only cole slaw and macaroni could pass the gluten-free test too.

3. Corn On the Cob

If KFC is being picked up for a BBQ, then their corn on the cob is most likely also on the order. Luckily, you can totally eat it. If you don't like the bite, then order the sweet corn as a substitute.

4. Potato Salad

I would read up on the nutritional information just in case, seeing as potato salad always has so many ingredients in it, but who doesn't love some potato salad? If it's gluten-free then that's even better! Unfortunately the same cannot be said about their potato wedges.

5. KFC Menu Dressings and Dipping Sauces

Luckily, you can almost order any sauce and it should be fine for limited diets. Here's a solid list of the options from KFC's allergen menu:

Honey Barbeque Sandwich Sauce
Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce
Pepper Mayonnaise
Spicy Mayonnaise
KFC Signature Sauce Dipping Cup
Spicy Chipotle Dipping Sauce
Creamy Ranch Dipping Sauce
HBBQ Dipping Sauce
Tartar Sauce
Honey Sauce
Colonel's Buttery Spread
Heinz Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Fat Free Dressing
Marzetti Light Italian Dressing
