Days ago, Kelly Clarkson made her displeasure with a toy store public. She likened her alleged condescending treatment by their salespeople to what Julia Roberts experienced in Pretty Woman when she went into a chic boutique in haute Beverly Hills. Now, it's Kevin Bacon's turn to announce his irritation with a major commercial entity - FedEx.

The giant shipper allegedly mishandled the package of vintage clothing that the A Few Good Men actor sent to Ireland. According to the stewing star, the garments have been going to almost every country except the one he wanted them sent to. Bacon is letting off some steam on social media about the mishap.
Bacon Sought To Ship the Clothing to Ireland
Sounds simple, right? Kevin Bacon said on October 16 that "in an attempt to pack light on his way to Ireland for work, he decided to ship 'some old clothes' to his temporary home," per People. In a video posted on Instagram, he explained, "I don't buy a lot of clothes, I've had these clothes probably since the 90s. So, I used a shipping service that — I don't want to say the name, but it rhymes with Bredex."
That was the start of the items' alleged worldwide odyssey. According to Bacon, the collection of throwback fashion "traveled from New York to Memphis to France and then to Germany. From there, [the box] was shipped to Israel before being returned to France....," per the outlet. In fact, the container allegedly did some more far-flung zigzagging before eventually ending up in England.
His Alleged Troubles with FedEx Weren't Over
Kevin Bacon's problems with this delivery have not ended, he claims. He said, "Guess what? On October 11, it left the U.K. and came straight to Ireland, where it has been sitting for five days, and they say they're unable to deliver it. I don't understand why, it's just sitting there. I can't get a person on the phone, I have not been able to talk to anybody."
He clearly has an affinity for these clothes. "I've had them since the '90s, they have a certain sentimental value. Old boots, old jeans, old hats. Am I ever going to see this stuff? It's starting to get cold here."
A Happy Ending at Last
Bacon's persistence paid off, as did his public airing of his grievance with FedEx. Per People, the company said through a spokesperson, "We sincerely apologize for this experience. We are in direct contact with Mr. Bacon's team to deliver the package. This outcome should have happened sooner. and we are reviewing what went wrong to help ensure we deliver the level of service our customers expect and deserve."
He reportedly finally got the clothes on October 19. It's a little comforting to know that these arduous mix-ups happen to the famous as well as to the rest of us. And that they often do get resolved.
