Kenny Rogers Announces New Christmas Album

It has been 17 years since Kenny Rogers released a new Christmas album. This year, fans will be able to enjoy new renditions of their favorite yuletide songs when he releases a new holiday-themed album.

The new album, Once Again It's Christmas, will include special "appearances" from Jennifer NettlesAlison Krauss and Jim Brickman.

"I can't tell you how much fun it was recording a Christmas record again," Rogers said in a release, according to Taste of Country. "I'm excited for people to hear it. I feel like this is a special group of songs -- both old and new -- and I was particularly lucky to be joined by many talented guest artists and musicians who each have something unique to say."

Rogers says he's excited about this newest project, which is his first since the birth of his twin boys in 2004.

"Christmas is my favorite time of year. It's a very important season for me, especially now that I have twin boys who just turned 11 years old. It's reminded me of how you see it through different eyes when you're a parent. It's wonderful."

Every year, Rogers sets out on his Christmas & Hits tour, in which he sings a mixture of his biggest songs and holiday classics. This year will mark the 34th time he'll hit the road. Official tour dates for the Christmas & Hits tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
