Kenny Rogers' Former Georgia Estate Is Up for Auction

Beaver Dam

Beaver Dam Farms, the 973-acre estate formerly owned by Kenny Rogers, is going up for auction. The luxury property is made up of a 13,000-square-foot-mansion, three spring-fed lakes, five guest houses, 2 clubhouses, an equestrian arena, tennis courts and an 18-hole golf course.

Located just outside of Athens, GA, the estate is proof for Kenny Rogers that dreams really do come true.  "I remember when I was young," he said. "I would walk through the wealthy part of town on my way to school and saw the automated sprinklers and thought, 'One day I'm going to have those.' So, when I built the golf course, I would go out and sit on the golf cart and watch the sprinklers. To me, it was a sign that I had achieved my dreams."

Rogers himself personally designed the property and last owned it back in 2003. Since then it has had only one owner, the Weston Adams Family. Living on the other side of the country they don't feel as if they get as much use out of the estate as it deserves, so they decided to let it go.

On July 9, the property will go to the highest bidder at or above $3.5 million and will come fully furnished. If your your checkbook can handle that, get it ready.
