Kenny Chesney leaves all his worries back on the mainland in his scenic new video for “Save It For a Rainy Day”.
The video was shot near Chesney’s home in the Caribbean and shows him living the good life out on the beach and in crystal blue waters around the islands. It’s a picturesque representation of the simple idea that there’s too much greatness in life to focus on whatever may be going wrong at the moment. Chesney says the track itself is all about enjoying what you have and not letting negativity from someone or something else keep you from appreciating what life has given you.
“The idea is, why lose another beautiful day over something out of our control?” Chesney said of the song to Rolling Stone Country. “Whatever it is — a girlfriend leaving, a crummy boss — the reality is pretty simple: they don’t care that they’re ruining your day. And they’re not, you are! It’s your choice how you’re going to feel… a lot more than any of us realize.”
Chesney is currently out on his massive Big Revival Tour with support from Jake Owen, Old Dominion, Brantley Gilbert, Chase Rice, and Cole Swindell. A full list of upcoming tour dates is available at Chesney’s website.
