Kelsea Ballerini Reveals She Auditioned For A Role In 'The White Lotus'

"I have no shame in my game," Ballerini tells People. "I auditioned for the second season of The White Lotus for the role [of] Jennifer Coolidge's assistant that Haley did."

Ballerini didn't get the part, but she isn't at all bitter about the rejection. In fact, Ballerini is a big fan of Richardson, praising her for how well she plays her part.

"[She does it] so brilliantly and beautifully," Ballerini praises.

Ballerini already made her acting debut in Doctor Odyssey. If Ballerini does want help with her acting skills, she need look no further than her boyfriend, actor Chase Stokes.

"I've always called acting his world," Ballerini says. "And so whenever I was asking him questions about this opportunity, I was like, 'What about this in your world?' And he was like, 'Hey, it's just a world. I'm a part of it and now you're a part of it. It's not my world.'"

"Being nominated for ENTERTAINER OF THE FREAKING YEAR has been one of my biggest dreams and goals from the very start of this journey. I feel so incredibly grateful, and I feel seen by the genre and community I love so dearly. This continues to feel like my ten year town year and I can't stop crying happy tears. Wow wow wow."

Ballerini will also perform during the live broadcast, along with Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and Wynonna Judd, among others.
