Rising artist Kelsea Ballerini has been tapped as the co-host for a brand new series on ABC.
The music-themed miniseries Greatest Hits will focus on the biggest songs from the 1980s, 90s and 2000s. Over the course of six episodes, Ballerini and fellow host Arsenio Hall will guide viewers through the decades in five-year segments, and will introduce modern performers tackling some of the most popular tracks from that time period.
So far, no performers have been announced for the series, but expect an eclectic mixture of modern popular acts. According to Variety, Greatest Hits will be "unscripted," and will also feature duets and special collaborations between artists.
Although Arsenio Hall has plenty of experience as a television host, thanks to his popular late-night series that aired in the early 1990s, Ballerini is no newbie to the small screen. She just appeared as a guest star on ABC's hit drama Nashville, and has been busy promoting her latest single "Peter Pan."
Fans of Ballerini will only have to wait a few weeks to see her make her big debut as a television host. Greatest Hits will air weekly on ABC beginning June 30.
