In fact, that usually morbid topic came up on their show on Wednesday, October 7. The notion of having her final sendoff while she's actually living seemed to appeal to Kelly Ripa. She and Mark Consuelos spoke on air about someone who did that so she could enjoy her very last tribute. Maybe Ripa is next in line to do the same!

Ripa Tapped Executive Producer Michael Gelman as Her Funeral Orchestrator

Per Entertainment Weekly, Ripa said that, "It's going to be a destination [event]." Of course, her final fashions need to be attended to. Mark Consuelos asked if he would be the stylist. That did not meet with Ripa's approval. however. She said, "No! If Gelman is throwing my funeral, my stylist is getting me dressed."

Seems like her sartorial sense does not quite align with her husband's. According to the outlet, "...[H]e previously dressed her to go to the hospital when she was unconscious after passing out." She was not pleased with the overly eclectic results.

"Let me just say, I sailed in right past the gunshot victims because I looked so bad," Ripa quipped. Per the outlet, she was clad in "a green leotard, soccer pants, and high-heeled shoes," so her reluctance to have him deciding what her last ensemble would be is understandable. Maybe Consuelos was more concerned with his wife's health as opposed to color-coordinating her outfit.

She Foresees Consuelos in a Speaking Role

Kelly Ripa warmed to the idea of Mark Consuelos delivering remarks at her funeral. "Put everybody in charge of what they're typically in charge of. Everybody has their typical jobs. You be there, you eulogize, say nice things."

All in all, it sounds like Kelly Ripa would want to go out with a rollicking good time for everyone rather than a somber ceremony.
