If you're excited for Christmas, you're not alone. Kellie Pickler is getting ready for the holiday season with a brand new song.
Pickler recently revealed to Rolling Stone Country that she's been hard at work producing new music, including writing a brand new Christmas song about celebrating the most wonderful time of the year in North Carolina.
"It's called "My Christmas Carolina" and is a Christmas song that we wrote back in July," the Tough singer recently told the site of her festive new release, which she co-wrote with her husband and I Love Kellie Pickler co-star, Kyle Jacobs.
"It's about Christmas in North Carolina with my grandma. My grandmother raised me and was the one I called 'Mom.' [It's] about Christmas with her growing up," she said, describing the track as being "a sweet Christmas ballad."
The 'American Idol' alumni also spoke about the festive song, which is expected to be released to digital retailers on Black Friday (Nov. 27th), at the CMA Awards on Nov. 4th, where she admitted that it "has everything to do with Carolina."
"It's about growing up in Albemarle, North Carolina... and the pine trees and all that," she told North Carolina's ABC 11 on the red carpet of the Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley hosted awards show. "It's a sweet Christmas song... and I can't wait for you all to hear it."
No stranger to a little festive cheer, Pickler already has a reputation when it comes to Christmas. The two-time CMA nominee previously recorded "Santa Baby", "The Man With The Bag" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" for various compilation albums.
In 2013, Pickler actually spent Christmas Day thousands of miles away from North Carolina two years ago, opting to embark on a 9 day USO tour of the Middle East to support US troops who were not unable to make it home for the holidays.
"My Christmas Carolina" is set for release on Nov. 27th, the day after Thanksgiving.
