Pickler, who finished sixth on "American Idol" Season 5, has reached a confidential settlement with the parents of her late husband, Kyle Jacobs.

The parties reached an agreement Nov. 3, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The court documents do not publicly identify how the possessions were divided up, but state that the issue has been "fully resolved" and that Kellie, Reed and Sharon are "satisfied with the distribution of assets."

Jacobs died by suicide in February 2023 in his Nashville home. He was 49.

Before the new settlement, Jacobs' parents were co-administrators of his estate.

This meant they had access to his instruments, watches, jewelry, firearms, his cell phone, and his work laptop.

Jacobs had songwriting credits for Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw.

Kyle Jacobs and Kellie Pickler Were Married For 12 Years

Alongside his wife, Jacobs starred in CMT's I Love Kellie Pickler from 2015 to 2017. The doc-comedy series chronicled the married musicians as they juggled fame, marriage and busy careers in the Nashville music scene.

Pickler, who released four studio albums, married Jacobs in January 2011. The couple co-wrote several songs, including "The Women I Am" and "Mother's Day."

Pickler took a 14-month break after Jacobs' death before returning to the stage in 2024 at a Patsy Kline Tribute.

The "American Idol" alum thanked fans for their support in navigating the death of her husband in a statement shared with PEOPLE in February 2023.

"One of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of a crisis, if you don't know what to do, 'do nothing, just be still,'" she said at the time. "I have chosen to heed his advice."

"Thank you to my family, friends, and supporters for the countless letters, calls, and messages that you have sent my way," she continued. "It has truly touched my soul and it's helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers."
