Kidman filed for divorce in September after 19 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
TMZ reports that a Tennessee judge signed off on the divorce today, Jan. 6. The couple had apparently worked out all the details of the split before the filing.
Kidman and Urban have waived any spousal and child support. They will keep their own assets, suggesting the couple had a prenuptial agreement.
Kidman shares two kids with her former husband, actor Tom Cruise. She and Urban also share two daughters: Sydney Rose and Faith Margaret.
The couple also agreed to a parenting plan and co-parenting classes. Their children will spend 59 days a year with the "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer. They will spend the rest of the year with the Babygirl actress. Both parents will jointly make all major parenting decisions, including those about education and health care.
What Led to the Divorce of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman?
Kidman and Urban, both 58, first met in 2005. Kidman said, "I had such a crush on him, and he wasn't interested in me. It's true! He didn't call me for four months."
Once regarded as a prominent Hollywood couple, the separation of Urban and Kidman was unexpected by many. As we previously reported in September, Nicole had been fighting to save the marriage since June.
Nicole "didn't want this," a source claimed. "Nicole's sister has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another."
However, Urban chose not to pursue reconciliation. He obtained his own residence in Nashville and began the process of moving out soon after.
What's Next for Kidman and Urban?
Back in November, we reported that the Australian actress had chosen to stay in Tennessee. A source says it's "mornings at Pilates, dinners with girlfriends, charity auctions — she feels grounded here. She loves the community."
She is also hard at work with the third season of Big Little Lies, a new series called Scarpetta, and a sequel to Practical Magic.
As for Urban, he just finished the CBS singing competition series, The Road. In 2026, he has tour dates planned in the Bahamas, the United Kingdom, California, Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Iowa.
