Australian officials have opened an investigation into Ruby Rose's allegations of sexual assault at the hands of Katy Perry. Paul Hogan, the acting sergeant of Victoria Police, released a statement on Tuesday, April 14.

"Melbourne Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010," Hogan's statement said. "Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne's Central Business District."
On Threads, Rose noted that all her reports are now finalized. As such, she can no longer discuss the case details in the public forum.
"This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved," Rose posted. "It's going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages to other people's experiences, but I'm not...This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief."
On Monday, April 13, a spokesperson for Katy issued a short statement denying Ruby's allegations.
"Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named," the spokesperson said, via Page Six.
The investigation is now ongoing, with no further details regarding the situation being made public.
What Is Katy Perry Accused Of?
IRuby made the bombshell allegation of sexual assault against Katy via Threads. She was commenting under Complex's post about Katy and Justin Bieber at Coachella.
"Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s-t what she thinks," Ruby's initial comment reads.
Ruby then followed up by going into detail about what Katy allegedly did. She claimed that Perry rubbed her groin while she was resting. The actor expressed shock and disgust.
"After it, I threw up on her. I told the story publicly but changed it to be a 'funny little drunk story' because I didn't know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn't a good person. "
Ruby's allegations are clearly being taken seriously. However, until more information is made available, we will all have to wait and see how things play out.
