Kate Upton has clarified her troubling Instagram story involving a drunk dad that endangered his daughter's life.

On November 17, Kate Upton posted on her story asking for advice from anyone who could give it. She recounted the story of a drunk and high dad who threatened to shoot a taxi driver if he didn't drop him and his daughter off in the middle of a highway to walk home. This worried and scared fans, as she provided no other details or identities.
On Monday, Upton finally explained the situation to those worried about her and her family. Through three posts to her story, the model explained that the situation really happened, and that the 10-year-old child was her niece.
"My sister, Justin, and I are doing everything we can to protect her," she writes. She doesn't divulge the identity of her sister to protect her and her afflicted daughter.
"My niece inspires me daily with her bravery and resilience after facing a situation no child should endure," she says.
Although her messages don't give more details on the event, Upton hints that there is a legal dispute, battle, or trial ongoing.

"Navigating this situation to protect my niece has been so challenging, especially knowing that her safety is ultimately in the hands of professionals at Brevard," she explains.
"The legal system can be so complex and in my opinion has raised alarming questions about whether the priority is protecting a father's privacy and privilege over the well-being of innocent children."
Although details aren't specified, Upton's concerns provide some hints that the dad isn't immediately being held accountable for the harrowing story Upton shared with us. It's hard to comment without further details, however.
Upton made sure to clear her husband immediately, however, as there were some online concerns that the child in question was hers. "Our daughter is 6, and Justin would never put her in such a terrifying or life-threatening situation," she clarifies.
It is unsure if Upton will keep her fans updated on this case, or whether she only dropped in to clarify and make note of a few things.
