See Kacey Musgraves Surprise Crowd at Rodeo Houston with Selena's 'Como La Flor'

Kacey Musgraves is known worldwide, but she'll always be a Texas girl at heart. And, like every Texan, she loves the late Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. The "Space Cowboy" singer paid tribute to the Tejano legend at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Monday (Feb. 25) with a cover of the 1992 hit "Como La Flor."

The tribute was especially meaningful as Quintanilla-Pérez gave her final performance at Rodeo Houston on Feb. 26, 1995. A month later, the singer was murdered by her former fan club president, Yolanda Saldívar.

"24 years ago Selena performed her last concert here," Musgraves wrote in an Instagram story on Tuesday (Feb. 26). "It was a dream of mine to be able to pay my respects to her iconic legacy."

Quintanilla-Pérez's sister, Suzette, was one of the many taken with Musgraves' tribute.

"Awww this makes me wanna shed a tear! Takes me back 🙏🏼💜 A Big Big Thank you @spaceykacey for the love at the Houston Rodeo tonite with that SELENA Y LOS DINOS Jam!" she wrote on Instagram.

Musgraves shared photos of the night on social media, including one of her spectacular entrance on a horse.

"TEXAN BUCKETLIST: OFFICIALLY OBLITERATED," Musgraves wrote on Instagram. "Thank you to @rodeohouston all 53 THOUSAND of y'all who showed UP. 💜😭 It was an honor. Massive props to my incredible and hard-working team."
