Kacey Musgraves Get Animated For 'Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?'

As if kicking it with Elmo wasn't enough, Kacey Musgraves has joined Jerry Reed on the short list of country artists to help Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Fred and her best friend Daphne solve a case.

The new episode of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, titled "The Phantom, The Talking Dog And The Hot Hot Hot Sauce" (and glitter and rainbows, considering who's the special guest), can be watched for free if you download the Boomerang app or tune in on the channel's website.

"Scooby-Doo and the gang came on down to Nashville to help crack a major Country Music mystery!," Musgraves wrote on Instagram. "No - it wasn't to solve the lack of female airplay!"

The episode description reveals Musgraves' tie to the classic cartoon sleuths.

"Daphne gets a call from a friend that needs help," it reads. "The gang heads to Nashville, Tennessee, to meet up with none other than country music legend Kacey Musgraves! She's putting on a special variety show in a famous old auditorium, but the production seems to be cursed! Mystifying accidents and strange ghost sightings have made the entire crew abandon Kacey. Can our gang of mystery solvers help save her show from the shadowy PHANTOM? Or, will it be the 'final curtain' for all of them?"

Past guest stars of Scooby-Doo and the Guess Who include Halsey and Jeff Foxworthy. The new season's guest-stars the likes of Gigi Hadid, Macklemore, Morgan Freeman, Alton Brown, Chloe Kim, Tim Gunn and Tara Lipinski.

it might not be the last acting role for Musgraves that doubles as a childhood flashback. She's rumored to be in talks with Disney for a live action remake of the Little Mermaid.
