The 11th season of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team is in full swing. This season will feature an array of special guests, including Texas native and Grammy award winning songwriter Kacey Musgraves.
During the September 22 episode, Musgraves sits alongside DCC director Kelli Finglass and learns how the DCC hopefuls take a song and visually illustrate it through dancing. To her surprise, some of the DCC hopefuls have self-choreographed a routine to the song "Blowin' Smoke" from Musgraves' debut album Same Trailer Different Park.
The pressure is on as the music starts and the girls each take a turn showing off their skills while Musgraves watches in awe. The performance even receives a standing ovation. You can hear how blown away she is throughout the clip below.
In the full episode, Musgraves shares her thoughts on which training camp candidates stand out. She also shares advice about staying true to who you are. A couple extra surprises also come after the performance.
First, Musgraves hands both Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammel their own pairs of Kacey by Luchesse boots. As a thank you, Kelli then hands Musgraves her very own pair of signature white DCC boots.
"Oh my gosh, Texans dreams have come true!" Musgraves squeals during the episode. Those who didn't get a chance to see the episode can check it out now on CMT.com.
