Joy Behar Returns to ‘The View’ After Injury She Calls "Worse Than Childbirth"

Joy Behar is finally back on the panel almost a month after suffering an injury - she was descriptive about her experiences on 'The View'.

Joy Behar is finally back on The View! In case you weren't aware as to why she was out in the first place, let's fill you in.

We've been keeping track of her absence since her first missed episode on October 1 - at the time, Sunny Hostin filled fans in. Much to their shock, she announced quite plainly, "Unfortunately, our dear friend Joy dislocated her shoulder." She added, "Yeah, so she's recovering, and will be back soon."

But, it didn't end up being "soon" - she was absent for a long while. This came despite her rep originally saying, "But [she] is on the mend and should be back on the show mid next week." They did however specify her "shoulder wasn't broken, and is back in place", adding at the time, "she is excited to be back at the table as quickly as possible".

Her next announcement to fans came on October 13, where Whoopi Goldberg gave fans "a message from Madam Joy Behar". "She says, 'Thanks to everyone who inquired about my recovery. If I was still 21 I'd have bounced back the next day.'"

"But since I'm an old bat, recuperating takes a bit longer. I plan to be back next week to fill everyone in on all the gory details."

Joy Behar is Back, and Looking Great!

But now, per People, she has finally returned to the table - and she's happy to be there after so long!

She used her entrance to first poke fun as to what happened, but then she got serious and filled us all in about the "gory" details she promised. "They played 'The B**** Is Back. You should've played 'God Save The Queen'." she first quipped.

"I fell - bad," she admitted. "I mean, I went down hard, in this building, and I dislocated my shoulder. It's worth than childbirth. I mean, I would've given up names to the CIA [to get out of] that kind of torture," she continued.

Joy Behar also revealed she had an issue or two with the scans. "I have to say one thing. Three hours... I was sedated - I was asleep the whole time," she explained of the MRI she had. "It's like sex."

We're glad she's back - are you?
