Josh Abbott Marries Taylor Parnell in Austin, Texas

Josh Abbott and his fiancée of a year, Taylor Parnell, entered the married life over the weekend in downtown Austin, Texas at a beautiful ceremony where their 14-month-old daughter, Emery Farryn Abbott, acted as the flower girl.

Abbott says that he and Parnell chose to have the wedding in Austin since Parnell was born and raised there. Also, her grandparents, who she's very close to, live in the city and wouldn't have to travel for a destination wedding. The ceremony took place at Brazos Hall downtown where 250 friends and family gathered on Sunday, July 8 to celebrate the pair.

"The greenery and lighting was a really important part of the theme. We wanted everyone to forget they were indoors for the night, but in the middle of a Texas summer, air conditioning is a must," the couple told People. "The wedding colors were neutral and soothing ... green from the arrangements and the champagne from the girls' dresses."

Taylor Parnell's dress was designed by Milla Nova, while the men in the wedding party wore suits from The Black Tux. As seen on Abbott's Instagram, he and his groomsmen (including a couple of band members, Austin Davis and Preston Wait, and his brother, Chance) took photos at the Driskill, a historic hotel not far from the Brazos Hall.

After the beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds geared up for their honeymoon out to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. Abbott explains that he and his wife fell in love there and they prefer to stay close to home in case their daughter Emery needs them, making it the perfect getaway.

Josh Abbott fronts the Josh Abbott Band, a country music act that formed in Lubbock, Texas in 2006. The group has five albums, including their 2017 release Until My Voice Goes Out, featuring the singles "Texas Women, Tennessee Whiskey" and "Girl Down in Texas."
