Country music star Jon Pardi has spoken out about his high-profile divorce after news of the split emerged earlier this year.

Back in May, Pardi's wife, Summer, filed for divorce in Tennessee, seeking to end the couple's five-year marriage.
In the May 12 filing, Summer stated that the pair had separated one day earlier and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.
The couple later publicly confirmed their separation on Friday, July 3.
Jon Pardi Opens Up About Divorce
On September 7, Pardi held a question-and-answer session with fans, during which one person asked about his divorce and how he was "truly" doing.
"Hanging in there. Just a little defeated right now," Pardi said.
"I'm in the tunnel right now and it's not a cave. I will be out one day! Thanks for so many kind concerns and love. Onward! Best me and father is my goal!"
It marked the first time the 41-year-old had personally addressed the divorce since the couple released a joint statement on July 3.
"After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage," the statement read. "Our daughters will always remain our highest priority, and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as coparents."
"Thank you for your understanding, support and respect as we navigate these changes as a family."
Divorce Filing Reveals Custody and Financial Requests
Pardi and Summer share two young daughters, Presley, 3, and Sienna, 2.
Shortly after announcing the separation, Pardi revealed that he planned to step away from social media as he continued to "navigate this next chapter."
According to the divorce filing, Summer has asked the court to designate her as the primary residential parent of Presley and Sienna if she and Jon are unable to reach an agreement on a parenting plan.
Summer is also seeking an equitable division of the couple's marital assets, along with the return of "all of her separate property" and an award of alimony.
The filing further states that Summer can provide evidence demonstrating her need for spousal support and claims that Jon "has the ability to pay."
In addition, she has requested that Jon cover "her attorney's fees and expert witness fees ... and all further general and/or specific relief."
