In a surprising announcement, Julian Lennon, son of John Lennon and Cynthia Lennon, revealed that her dermatologist diagnosed him with skin cancer. This prompted an emergency surgery that, fortunately, was successful. While this is not the first time Julian has fought cancer, he is optimistic that biopsy results will be favorable for him just days before Christmas.

Julian shared pictures of his skin alongside a detailed recount of his cancer diagnosis and emergency surgery on X. "After having just finished GMA, I received a message from Dr Tess, with some urgency to return to Los Angeles, as I had 2 locations on My Skin, Shoulder & Forearm, one of which was Melanoma, that should be operated on ASAP!" he wrote. Dr. Tess is Julian's dermatologist, who has helped him with his health struggles throughout the years.
"So instead of going home to put my Christmas tree up and happily finish the year off, relaxing at home, I flew directly back to Los Angeles, after all my work in New York was done, and went directly from LAX airport, to surgery," Julian continued. Dr. Tim Neavin performed the surgery, cleaning up and operating on Julian. He described the hours-long surgery as a success, but he will have to wait for the results of a biopsy in hopes of having "the best Christmas present ever."
Julian Lennon And Cancer
Back in 2020, Julian Lennon posted a picture of a mole. He revealed to his audience that it was a malignant tumor. "A few days ago, I went to visit My dermatologist, here in LA, when she noticed a little bump on My head, that was actually a Mole, that had been there, along with a Birthmark, for the last 57 years," Julian
wrote on Facebook.Fortunately, doctors were able to remove it. However, Julian Lennon faces once again the struggle of having to face a cancer diagnosis. Given his experience with the disease, he has encouraged his followers to do regular check-ups and to take care of their health.
"It only takes a short while to do so, and you may just be saving your own life, at the end of the day," Julian wrote. "Take care of Yourself, and urge those you love, to go for Check-Ups too... Life is too Short... Don't make it shorter, by being ignorant about Your Own health."
