Joe Nichols fans are rejoicing this week over news that the "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" singer has finally released new music. Nichols' single "Undone" is a mid-tempo love song that is set to be included on his forthcoming album.
While the sensual track has more of a pop feel than his previous releases, Nichols' characteristically smooth, deep vocals still shine through on the track. In the lyrics, "undone" refers to multiple things: the buttons on a shirt, how a woman can make a man feel and love's irreversible effects.
"Undone, like the buttons on your shirt... you know how to make me come undone... how easily you do something to me that just can't be undone," the chorus chimes. Listen to the track below.
Although long time fans of Nichols' loyalty to traditional country music may be disappointed in his latest product, it's hard to deny that the new song is extremely catchy. The lyrics are a product of collaboration between songwriters Trevor Rosen (of Old Dominion), Josh Osborne and Ross Copperman.
Country fans are anxiously awaiting a followup to the Arkansas native's previous album Crickets, which was released in 2013 and included hit singles "Yeah" and "Sunny and 75." Nichols is currently on his Certified Country Tour with Gord Bamford. You can find a full list of upcoming tour dates at his official website.
