Former First Lady Jill Biden is on the road promoting her new memoir, A View From the East Wing. There have been some unexpectedly thorny moments. One of them came during a very candid interview she gave on CBS News Sunday Morning a few days ago. Jill Biden said that she thought her husband, President Joe Biden, was "having a stroke" during a debate with candidate Donald Trump in 2024. That shocking disclosure caused a furor among some people who wondered why she waited so long to come out with that.

More recently, at a book talk in New York moderated by Whoopi Goldberg, Joe Biden interrupted his wife to ask a weird, off-putting question. He practically upstaged her during that apparently unscripted incident.
Biden Suddenly Interrupted His Wife's Presentation
Per the New York Post, Jill Biden was with Whoopi Goldberg on the stage on June 2 at the 92nd Street Y. Without warning apparently, Joe Biden got up and came over to the foot of the stage. "I have a question," he said with no mic. Jill Biden gently tried to suggest that he ask it later. However, the former president reportedly persisted.
"Who do you love most in the whole world?," he wanted to know. His wife quipped, "Whoopi." Per the outlet, "...Biden continued to stand and blankly face his wife, seemingly unhappy with her answer." Finally, Jill Biden said to him, "I love you most, Joe. Was that it? Was that the answer he wanted?"
Then he made another odd remark. Joe Biden said, "It's overwhelming, isn't it?" He still had no mic to amplify his voice. His wife answered him. Then the ex prez "lowered his head and made the sign of the cross," according to the Post.
He Began To Promote His Own Forthcoming Book
But Biden was not yet done. He also said, "My book, which comes out in September, read it...." The former first lady humorously came back with, "Do I have to remind him that this is my event?"
The strange incident will probably just fuel further discussion of former President Joe Biden's mental acuity.
