Speaking with CBS News, Jill Biden said she was "shocked" that Kamala Harris lost the 2024 presidential election. She thought the former vice president would beat Donald Trump and "would be a good president." But Harris lost in an election that largely favored Trump.

"I was certain she was going to win," Jill said. "The excitement for her and the crowds and, I mean, how people rallied around her, and I truly felt that she was going to win. I was shocked she didn't win, because I think she would be a good president."

Jill Biden Tells All

After the election, Jill said that she went to bed and "just, I couldn't believe that she had lost."

Harris became the first Democratic nomineee in 20 years to lose the popular vote. She also lost the Electoral College as well. The election proved to be scandelous with many noted that the Democrats raised $1 billion for Harris in just six weeks.

But the public apparently didn't connect with Harris and her policy. Following the lost, internal sources weighed in on why Harris lost. One didn't mince words.

"She was a s-t candidate and Trump made her look worse than Hillary Clinton," one source said at the time. They said Joe Biden "got pushed out for an empty pantsuit. At least Biden beat Trump and Hillary Clinton had more balls than either of them."

It's funny that Jill Biden thought that Harris would win, given their contentious relationship in the years prior. In 2020, Harris attacked Joe Biden over past policies.

"With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he's committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis?" Jill Biden said in response at the time. "Go f-k yourself." She was also reportedly against Biden picking Harris as a running mate at the time.

But sounds like things have changed.
