Where Did Jessica Andrews (Rosemary's Granddaughter) Go?

Country music singer Jessica Danielle Andrews released "Who I Am" with DreamWorks Records in Nashville as the title track for her 2000 album. It reached number one on the country charts and was even covered by fellow country artist Danielle Bradbury on her debut album.

Though the country song was written by Brett James and Troy Verges, the Arkansas native wanted to record the song because she felt personally drawn to the lyrics. Outside of the fact that her grandmother's name was not Rosemary, everything else felt like it perfectly aligned with her life.

The song, featured on her second album, was a strong follow up to Andrews debut album, Heart Shaped World, which was released two years prior when she was only 15 with "I Will Be There for You." "Who I Am" was Andrews greatest hit of her career. It was also used as the theme song for police drama Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye.

After releasing three studio albums with DreamWorks, Andrews moved over to Carolwood Records but was dropped in 2009 without releasing an album. She's released no new music since "Everything" in 2008 but did collaborate with other artists throughout her career like Marcel Chagnon with "There's More to Me Than You" and "All I Ever Needed" with Poison. She ended up marrying Chagnon and had a baby boy in 2018 named Rockwell Francois Chagnon.

Since Jessica Andrews is best known for "Who I Am", let's look back on the singer-songwriter's official music video for her hit country single and appreciate the lyrics that encourage you to believe in yourself.

"Who I Am" Lyrics:

If I live to be a hundred

And never see the seven wonders

That'll be alright

If I don't make it to the big leagues

If I never win a Grammy

I'm gonna be just fine

'Cause I know exactly who I am

I am Rosemary's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done

My momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy

But I've got friends who love me

And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me

And that's who I amSo when I make big mistake

When I fall flat on my face

I know I'll be alright

Should my tender heart be broken

I will cry those teardrops knowin'

I will be just fine

'Cause nothin' changes who I am

I am Rosemary's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done

My momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy

But I've got friends who love me

And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me

And that's who I amI'm a saint and I'm a sinner

I'm a loser, I'm a winner

I'm am steady and unstable

I am young but I'm able

I am Rosemary's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done

My momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy

But I've got friends who love me

And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me

And that's who I am

I am Rosemary's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done

My momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy

But I've got friends who love me

And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me

And that's who I am
