Jennifer Nettles and her band are suffering a loss, as they mourn the death of member Paul Gordon. Yesterday, at age 52, Gordon passed away due to an unspecified illness.
Aside from playing with Nettles, half of the band Sugarland, Gordon lent his musical talents to a variety of artists, beginning in the late 1990s. While touring with Nettles, Gordon was also playing keyboards for the B-52s, whom he was playing for until his final days.

Before Gordon joined the B-52s in 2007, he played keyboard for the Goo Goo Dolls and guitar for Lisa Marie Presley. According to The Newport Buzz, Gordon also brought his musical talents to artists such as Anna Wilson, Brenda K. Starr, Carly Smithson, Chaka Kahn, Charles and Eddie, Danielle Brisebois, David Yazbek, Eran DD, Mandy Moore, Natasha Bedingfield, Noel, Nona Hendryx, Wild Orchid, and more.
Additionally, Gordon was responsible for over 1,000 pieces of work in music, film and television. Included in his repertoire are the theme songs for Digimon and Wild Force Power Rangers, as well as numerous soundtrack cuts.
Nettles shared her thoughts on Instagram upon learning of her former band member's passing.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lysak Gordon, and two sons.
