Jelly Roll's weight loss has been a hot topic in recent months. The "Save Me" singer has dropped hundreds of pounds and looks unrecognizable from the music star who originally broke onto the scene.

It's the same weight loss that allowed Jelly Roll to participate in WWE's SummerSlam even a few months ago. And, on a recent episode of the "Unreal" Netflix documentary, Jelly Roll can be heard making a promise to Paul "Triple H" Levesque regarding additional weight loss if he was given a match on the Premium Live Event.
"I knew that if I didn't do something, it was going to kill me, and I just remember leaving there and being like, 'I will be back next summer a different f-----g human,'" Jelly Roll said. " I just kind of shot my shot, and I was like, 'Hey, Triple H, I'm losing this weight, man. I'm dead serious about this...'On a selfish level, I need this. This might motivate me to push me past that number I've never seen before on the scale."
Jelly Roll stuck to his word. By the time SummerSlam rolled around, he was under 300lbs and ready to perform in front of a global audience. However, his success wasn't without anxiety.
"Every day, it scared me. My fear in wrestling was, had I bit off more than I could chew? Was I physically going to be able to do it? You can imagine my first week, my body was going, 'No! There's no way you're going to be ready for this!'"
Jelly Roll Teamed With Randy Orton but Lost the Match
On the night of SummerSlam, Jelly Roll formed a tag team with "The Viper" Randy Orton. They faced off against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Despite his lack of in-ring training, Jelly Roll performed well. He sold his shots, took a sizeable bump, and understood how to control his personal pace to help build tension.
Unfortunately, a victory wasn't on the cards. Instead, Jelly Roll ate the pin that ended the match.
His participation in the match was just another milestone in what has been an inspiring transformation. Jelly Roll has stuck to his workout plan and now appears to be in considerably better health. Perhaps another match in a WWE event could push him to even greater heights.
