Jelly Roll just shared some exciting news on Instagram. The "God I Need A Favor" singer is stepping outside of his usual wheelhouse this year, and into the world of...voice acting?

Yeah, you heard me right. On Wednesday, Jelly shared the announcement on social media. "Can't believe I'm saying this y'all - my voice acting debut is COMING SOON!!! And it gets even cooler, my new song "I'm Good" from GOATS original soundtrack is what you're hearing in this trailer. God is so, so good."
The singer used this caption underneath a trailer of the new Sony Pictures Animation movie, Goat. The film's storyline follows Will, a small goat with ambitions to play "roarball", a sport usually played by bigger animals. The film also stars the voices of Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, and Stephen Curry, alongside Jelly Roll. Jelly plays the voice of Grizz, a grizzly bear that plays "roarball."
Goat will hit theatres on February 13, 2026.
Jelly Roll up for Three Grammys This Year
Seeing as the movie is an underdog story, it makes total sense why Jelly Roll would want to be a part of it. In 2025, Jelly had quite the triumphant year, celebrating his 275-pound weight loss and earning two Grammy nominations.
Even though he didn't take home any awards at last year's ceremony, Jelly recently revealed in an Instagram video that he was nominated for three awards for the 2026 Grammys. In a video captioned, "How I really feel about the Grammys..." Jelly Roll had a message for fans.
"When I was in Australia, we woke up, and we were nominated for three, three Grammy nominations, y'all," he shared. "When I made it to my first Grammy of the year, I had the New Artist, I thought to myself, 'this is the only time I'll ever be at the Grammys.'"
"I don't care what artists say," he shared, perhaps addressing the Forrest Frank controversy. "I don't care what artists act like." He continued, "There's no artist in the world that didn't grow up watching the Grammys when they were a kid and walking to their bedrooms afterwards to rehearse their speech."
"I see all my friends in this category," he continued. "Then I see this one standing there reading, 'Beautifully Broken,' and man, if that doesn't represent what's happening in the world right now... Win, lose, or draw, holy f**k, we won. That's how I feel. I've already won."
The 68th annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026. Other artists nominated include Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and Bad Bunny.
